About
What is R.A.M.P.S.?
» Ramp Access Made Possible by Students
» A non-profit organization run by students
» Students assemble the wheelchair R.A.M.P.S. for persons with disabilities who have qualified for financial assistance
» R.A.M.P.S. provides matching funds to student groups
Student Roles
» Students initiate, plan and execute their own fundraising events in order to purchase the materials needed to build the R.A.M.P.S.
» Students assemble the wheelchair R.A.M.P.S. at the home of the recipient
Why Modular R.A.M.P.S.?
» They can be assembled and installed faster than traditional-style wooden R.A.M.P.S.
» They are more versatile and provide flexibility to an individual's circumstances
» They are environmentally friendly-when the ramp is no longer needed, it can be "removed and recycled" to another deserving family
Ramp of the month
Each month, R.A.M.P.S. recognizes the individual R.A.M.P.S. teams who have done an excellent job in their community outreach through the R.A.M.P.S. program. This month we'd like to congratulate: The Mechanicsville, VA Build Team

To support the R.A.M.P.S. effort to build wheelchair ramps for the elderly and disabled in our club areas, please consider a tax-deductible donation.
In addition to improving the quality of life for elderly and disabled wheelchair-bound individuals, R.A.M.P.S. makes a significant economic impact on the community. By helping these people stay in their homes longer, R.A.M.P.S. reduces the housing cost of recipients who otherwise might have been moved to Medicare or Medicaid-funded facilities.
We are a 501(c)(3) organization.
