Kenneth is an 81-year-old Henrico County resident who recently underwent amputation of his left leg. He lives with his adult son who, with the help of his sister, takes care of him. When Kenneth returned home from the hospital, the only room in the house with a somewhat accessible door to the outside was a lower-level utility room, where he was set up with a temporary bed and portable commode. On 11/20/22, the fantastic volunteers from Kinsale Insurance Co., led by Board members August Berling (from Kinsale) and Will Stettinius, built Kenneth a ramp from his front door. He will now be able to live in his old bedroom, have full use of his house and be able to get out the front door and into the world easily.
