Sharice was born with cerebral palsy and has always relied on a wheelchair for mobility. She was so excited to meet our Eagle Scout Project volunteers, led by Topher. Despite the chilly and windy day, the team worked quickly and seamlessly to build Sharice a new ramp.
Topher presented this wheelchair ramp build as his Eagle Scout Project after working with fellow Scout Matthew Monahan on a similar effort. Topher recruited a team of volunteers who worked well to put together a new ramp. Using a CAD design and fueled by donuts (which we ALL enjoyed), they ensured Sharice will be able to get safely out of her home, giving her a level of freedom she did not have previously.
Additional appreciation is extended to Topher’s dad, Pete, and to our photographer, Noah Carter, and to our RampsRVA volunteer, Owen Ritter.
