Thelma is an 80-year-old Henrico County resident who lives with her 85-year-old husband and their son. Due to multiple severe health problems (aneurysm, cancer, broken bones) she is confined to a wheelchair. On Saturday morning, January 7 the fantastic volunteers from Deep Run High School built a ramp that will enable Thelma to get to her doctor’s appointments easily and be involved in more activities outside of her home.
Volunteers were: Abrar Ahmed, Gurbaaz Bawa, Kaidi Xue, Amanjeet Sahagal, Nun Kim, Aarvshi Singh, Gina Yang, Emma Xu, Meera Velga, Ben Director, Ben Berselli, Aaron Zeng, Sophie Smith, and leader Joey Chen.
