Tyhiem has relied on a wheelchair for mobility after sustaining a spinal cord injury. He had missed doctor appointments because he was unable to get safely in and out of his house.
Topher presented this wheelchair ramp build as his Eagle Scout Project after working with fellow Scout Matthew Monahan on a similar effort. Topher recruited a team of volunteers who worked well to put together a new ramp. Using a CAD design and fueled by donuts (which we ALL enjoyed), they ensured Tyhiem will be able to get safely out of his home, giving him a level of freedom he did not have previously.
Additional appreciation is extended to Topher’s dad, Pete, and to our photographer, Noah Carter, and to our RampsRVA volunteer, Owen Ritter.
