We enjoy partnering with local businesses and non-profits to improve lives in our area.  One of our most recent partnerships is with Mid-Atlantic Paralyzed Veterans.  The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America was founded by a band of service members who came home from World War II with a spinal cord injury. Located in Chesterfield County, Virginia, the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Mid-Atlantic Chapter continues today to create an America where all veterans and people with disabilities, and their families, have everything they need to live full and productive lives. They hold numerous events at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield County. This requires a location that is accessible for their athletes.

UPS Freight’s volunteer group met us at Pocahontas to take down the ramp from its existing location and move it to the Volunteer House.  We love being able to partner with these two organizations!
