Story

Ethel is a 71 year old stroke victim.  In addition to recovering from a stroke, she has spinal stenosis, or a narrowing of the spine, which is quite painful.  She has had a hip replacement as well.

Our CSEI (Cochrane Summer Economic Institute) partners did a great job building Ethel a ramp.  Special thanks is extended to RAMPS Board Member Dave Newton for his support on this build.

“…This ramp is a blessing to me, for I was having difficulty getting up and down my stairs due to my back and leg problems…I thank you for your hard work, your time and effort spent putting up this ramp, now I will be able to get up and down with ease”.

2015 Update:  Ethel is doing well and enjoying her ramp, which is even more crucial, as she’s had another stroke.”
