Story
Mary experienced a medical emergency which resulted in paralysis from the waist down. Our Benedictine High School (the Cadets) were able to head out to Goochland early Saturday morning and build her a ramp – right off her bedroom! This will allow her a safe and easy means of egress in case of emergency, a doctor’s appointment, or in case she would like to just sit outside in the sun.
She was so thankful to meet the builders – who traveled quite a ways to help her! Thank you to RAMPS Alumni Advisory Board Member, August Berling (a graduate of Benedictine) for leading this build (and jumpstarting a car, which happened to be preventing us from finishing the ramp).
