Story
Viola is a senior and lives with her adult son, who provides assistance to her when she leaves the house. She has lymphedema, as well as other health concerns, and relies on a wheelchair to get around both inside and outside the house. She has missed doctor appointments as a result of being unable to use her wheelchair to get in and out of her home. She recaps how things went before getting the ramp here. She and her son both are excited about her new ramp (and it should be much easier to get her over the roots in the back yard from the old tree!)
Our volunteers from Monacan High School were out bright and early to build this ramp, despite the chilly temperatures – though we were ALL pleased when the sun came out. Thank you to everyone who helped!
